About me

Well I figure seeing as I don’t have an about me page that it’s probably time to have one, especially seeing as this blog has been going for a few months now.

So here’s a few things about me…

  • I’m 37.
  • I’ve got grey hair…I can’t be bothered dying it any more.  I haven’t dyed it for over 18 months since I shaved my hair when I got sick of it.
  • I lived in Country Town for four years.
  • I left Country Town about four weeks ago.
  • I’m moving to Country Town 2.0 in just under two weeks after I finish having the holidays with my family in the city.
  • I’ve lived in a fair few versions of Country Town over the years.
  • I’m a teacher.
  • I left the city 15 years ago, which coincided with me finishing my teaching degree.
  • I love watching sport…especially AFL, rugby union, rugby league, cricket and basketball.

    Love that, ‘Country Town 2.0’!
I’ve got a ‘Me too!’ on a few things on your list…was teacher and a decade of country villages and never looked back. Nice to come across your blog, going to have a good read now. CC

Don’t you just love the big space of the country…( especially your country). I came from deep wilderness Nz and am now living in a small city. (10 years) Working everyday towards going back out there. Very envious of your move. 15 km from the nearest neighbour is an awful lot of space!

It’s a ridiculous amount of space…and I only use the tiniest little bit of it given that I’m in a house with what I need and a little rubbish dump 500m away and the dirt driveway that’s 4.5km long. I’m not sure how big the whole property is. I’m living here as there isn’t anywhere available in town and there’s accommodation out here and the owners are away a fair bit working somewhere else while the drought is on.
