Write, every day of your life 17/365

In a crisis…Honestly evaluate the way you respond to crisis situations.  Are you happy with the way you react?

Well I’ve been through a few emergencies over my time.  I’ve had the break in at the first remote place I lived in…I wrote about it earlier this month…I think I reacted pretty well then.  I got the useless excuse for a person out of the house as well as went through the whole detective and police thing that followed it and he got what he wanted and ended up in jail.

I’ve had a few emergencies as a teacher…I’ve had a teenager want to stab me and thankfully the knife stopped mere millimetres from my glasses, I managed to have another teenager stab me in the throat with a pencil…let’s say that was quite painful, but having the bruises photographed by detectives with measuring stuff stuck near them was an interesting experience, I had my thumb dislocated stopping a child punching another child…as you do.  Amongst other things…but in all of those moments I didn’t react.  I waited until I was away form the child and the other children, because I was the safe person, they knew I wouldn’t fight back like every other person in their life…even if I was in all sorts of pain.
