Masterchef…Heston week begins…

Just putting it out there I adore Heston!!

I’m sorry if I woke up and walked into the kitchen in my pjs and Heston was there I would almost pee my pants!!

One hour to cook from the food in the house…mmmm…interesting.  Chaos is reigning…but the winner gets one on one Heston time!!

Ben’s doing dessert….holy heck!!  Heston’s mouth is watering after eating it.

Laura’s doing Italian….no surprises…and she’s gushing….how cute!!  George is lost for words in a good way, Heston thinks the broth is beautiful.

Jamie’s doing cauliflower cous cous…interesting, with chicken.  Heston says it looks great…and the cauliflower brings it together.

Tracy’s stressing she’s not Heston worthy with cooking…honey you only have an hour.  Heston says it was a great effort, but he knew time was an issue.

Amy’s going classic…beef and potatoes.  Heston says it works.

Brent’s doing duck with a coffee sauce….um okay…and he’s worried the duck’s undercooked…yep it’s undercooked

Emilia is doing beef carpaccio.  Heston likes how it looks and the texture, but wants seasoning.

Heston says this cook is of the highest standard of any he’s seen on Masterchef over the years.

The top 3 are Laura, Jamie and Ben….and the winner is Ben….off to the kitchen and Ben’s riding with Heston.  He tells Ben the invention test is on Australian cuisine.

Oh and there’s only one elimination this week at the end of the week…and win a challenge you get one on one Heston time…worst dish is into elimination and not cooking again until the elimination…and next week is finals week.

90 minutes with focus on family, native ingredients and inventiveness.

Ben’s using shiraz and vegemite to poach fish…a bit out there.  George is worried with 15 minutes to go.  He’s now used the poaching liquid as a sauce…Matt loves it.

Oh shite…Jamie didn’t put the sauce on the plate…poor bugger….and yes they notice.  They  get the sauce but can’t judge it.

Laura’s done stuffed squid…they enjoy it.

Amy did stuffed quail…the quail is overcooked…oh dear.

Tracy did herb cured beef…she’s redeemed herself, but it is quite salty.

Brent did lamb with some raw pumpkin amongst other things….they love it.

The top two are Brent and Ben and the winner is…Brent.

The bottom two are Amy and Tracy and through to elimination is…Tracy.
