Masterchef…Marco Pierre White team challenge

British theme menu for each team with them making 2 entrees, 2mains and 1 dessert with Marco Pierre White running the pass…and 2 hours of preparation time…and 60 people served for each team…oh and cooking to order.

The blue team are having gelatine problems…or they’re concerned that the jelly won’t be overly set and there’s only 5 berries in the glass which concerns Marco…I know 5 berries wouldn’t impress me…even when mains are being served they’re no

Gary’s concerned by both teams and MPW says both teams have wasted a lot of time.

Mmmm time to cook and serve and the chaos starts…they are so slow at cooking the dishes…

Entrees

Blue – steamed scallops…oh dear…boring and no flavour.  Chicken sausage…they seemed to like it.

Red –Garfish with cauliflower puree…they enjoyed the cauliflower…but Gary wasn’t overly impressed by the fish.

Main…bugger the red team is struggling with their meat, the smallest bit is rare…then the blue team run out of pork mid-service…well that probably shouldn’t have happened.

Blue – roasted lamb cutlet…Matt thinks it is cooked to perfection.  Roasted pork lion with peaches and cabbage…oh dear there are inconsistencies with the amount of meet…George says it’s like dessert with pork…oh dear lord.

Red – bangers and mash…oh shite!!! They’ve got raw sausages!!!!  Holy heck!!!

Roast beef with mushrooms and spinach.  Matt thinks it is delicious.

Dessert…finally the jelly has set for Tash and the blue team.

Blue – earl grey jelly with berries and cream…Gary thinks the idea is clever and Matt says it is a really lovely combination.

Red – brandy pudding with butterscotch sauce and cream…Gary says he’s really fussy with a steamed sponge pudding and thinks it is a bit heavy for him.  George says it needs to be drenched and it wasn’t, but the flavour was good.

Right…service is over…decision time…red team won for the judges and red team won in the kitchen for Marco so the red team won overall…and now Laura has to decide if she will use her immunity pin already or not after only winning it last night!!!  Poor thing!!!
