Style…oh dear lord this little Country Bumpkin has her own style.

Luckily for all of you the daily prompt has today asked me to…describe your personal style, however you’d like to interpret that — your clothing style, your communication style, your hair style, your eating style, anything.

My clothing style is rather practical, especially when at work.  More so when at work in the heat, even though you’re in the airconditioning almost all day, but when you’re dealing with cherubs from kindergarten to year 7 as I have spent the last four years doing and going between various classes and teaching various subjects.  Nothing like getting green paint on a pair of white pants (good thing is comes out when washed as soon as you get home with a bit of Napisan in it).  But that’s not to say that I dress plain and boring in old clothes that I don’t care if I get a bit of paint on them…an occupational hazard when teaching art a few hours a week and every class on a different day.

My work clothing style is usually black shorts (knee-length) or black 3/4 length pants…at times it’s a different colour, but generally black and more often than not a tunic style top, or at times a shirt.

The clothes above, like most of my wardrobe are from Autograph fashion, Virtu and TS14+.

As for my hair style…oh that’s simple.  There is no hairdryer required…well the house in Country Town didn’t have a power point in the bathroom, so there was no need for a hairdryer.  For most of 2013 and some of 2012 it was as simple as tying my hair back in a pony tail.  I had to wait until it grew long enough to tie back as in March 2012 I decided to shave it all off and went number one with the clippers one day after work.

Then a few days ago I went to the hairdresser and got my hair cut…an hour later it’s a bob style with a side fringe…I’m too scared to ask what the heck a side fringe is, but it can be tucked behind my ear so it’s out of the way.

As for the colour…I haven’t bothered to dye it since I shaved it, so it’s a lovely shade of grey right now…and I’m more than fine with that.

My style has to be appropriate for the heat that I’m generally in and the fact that I’m racing around different classrooms around a school teaching different year levels and different subjects all day. Wearable and comfortable with some style is all that I require.
