Write, every day of your life 5/365

Call Me Ishmael…Take the first sentence from your favorite book and make it the first sentence of your post.

I read a lot of books…between cookbooks (and yes they count when you read them page by page when you first buy them), novels (there’s copious numbers of them read every year) and then books to cherubs and with cherubs (oh dear lord if I counted them it would be in the thousands each year…don’t worry I don’t count them).  I have a goodreads account and track books I’ve read, just for my own curiousity.

But in all those books I don’t know if I’ve got a favourite.  However, I know what I like and what I don’t like.  By the time I’ve finished the first sentence in the blurb I know whether or not I’ll enjoy the book…and my tastes are quite varied.  Historical books…um, no thanks, biographies…yeah most likely, thrillers…at times, chick-lit…yeah I’ll read most.

So based on that I can’t really write a post using the first sentence of my favourite book…but here’s a post on books anyway.
