My last supper

For the daily prompt it is eat, drink and be merry…for tomorrow we die. The world is ending tomorrow! Tell us about your last dinner — the food, your dining companions, the setting, the conversation.

Let’s start with the companions shall we…oh I would be ever so selfish here…I would have me and my favourite sportsmen there and have my favourite chef provide all the food as well as join us for eating and conversing.  It is my last meal after all, and I’ve had plenty over the years with my family and friends, this would be the ultimate meal and selfishness is so completely required.

So here’s the guest list…

1. Ricky Ponting…former Australian cricket captain.  I would love to pick his brain and he would provide some quality conversation.

2. and 3. now seeing as I’m going favourite sportsmen I’m not going to separate numbers 2 and 3, I have to go my favourite rugby players.  Beau Robinson and Jono Lance…I’ve written about Beau Robinson on here previously.  But a bit of country is required at this dinner…given that I would hold it in Country Town just to get everyone there and have them all travel, I mean I’ve travelled to enough sporting events over the years, it’s payback time.  As for Jono Lance…well where do I start???  Was with the Reds, has now moved to the Tahs for the start of the 2014 season, has a huge nerd side (got to love anyone that displays a nerd side…nerds are very, very good in my eyes and my opinion), has a huge interest in sports…poor Ricky Ponting would be ambushed from all side just from me and him…oh and he follows me on Twitter, can honestly say I nearly had a heart attack when that happened, had a minor freak out…and yes I’m feeling the need to put my photos up here…oh dear lord…actually I’ve put the one of me and Beau up before.

4. Josh Gibson, I feel the need to include my current favourite AFL player.  I’ve spoken about Josh GIbson before on here.  He would also add the eye candy to the evening…not that the others don’t…I mean I have differing tastes when it comes to eye candy.

5. Heston Blumenthal….oh dear lord I adore Heston, as I’ve mentioned on here before.  He would be providing food…I wouldn’t care what he cooked, so long as it is food that I like, I’m not fussed how he prepares it, the more unique, the more original, the more creative the better in my honest opinion…I’d be happy to try lickable wallpaper like he’s done before, I mean creative, original, blow my mind food is required…oh and so long as he includes egg and bacon ice-cream.
