Daily Prompt: Non Sequitur

Here is today’s daily prompt and I’m the first to admit that I had no idea what non sequitur meant, absolutely none!! I Googled it and looked at the Wikipedia entry and I honestly don’t really get the point of it…anyway here’s my story.

In another version of Country Town, that I lived in 10 years ago there was a train line.  However a train only came once a week and it wasn’t for passengers, life wouldn’t be that simple.  If people wanted to take the train from Country Town to Capital City (a mere 800km (or 497 miles) drive) away they had to travel 200km to get to the train that took passengers.  On the train that came once a week it only had supplies for the two supermarkets.  The train station was 1.5km (1 mile) from the middle of Country Town, on the outskirts of town and the supermarkets would sent the forklift down the road to get the pallets of food from the train every Thursday morning when it came in.  Strangely enough if you tried to drive along those roads for a few hours it wouldn’t be hard to say “he tried to hit me with a forklift”.
